Chapter Volunteer Sign-up Forms

Click and download one of the forms to sign up to help with a few of the many activities that are described below.

MS Word Format (return via email)       PDF Format (print and return via regular mail)

Ensign Edibles

Our biggest fund raiser, Ensign Edibles is a way for anyone to send a "Care" package to a cadet.  We will package and deliver items you select from a shopping list to the Watch Office at the academy to be forwarded to your cadet.  Please see the Ensign Edibles page for additional information.

Stars Desserts

Each semester, the chapter honors all CGA cadets who have earned a Military, Academic or Physical Fitness Star with a Dessert Social called “Stars Desserts.” These gatherings take place right on campus and are very well received by the Corps of Cadets. Volunteer parents help setup and serve desserts (chocolate fountain and all) to several hundred cadets. Expenses for these socials are paid for with funds generously donated by the National USCGA Parents organization.

  Host Families

Leading up to Swearing-In Day each year, Capt. Paul Foye Chapter parents are busy volunteering to sponsor incoming cadets from across the country. Some Cadets are traveling alone and need airport pick-ups, as well as room and board prior to Swearing-In Day. Needless to say, this volunteer service provided by our members, who open their homes and donate their time, is crucial for so many cadets to make as smooth a transition as possible.

CT Swab Picnic

Every June, we sponsor a welcome luncheon for incoming CT Cadets at the CG Lodge in Stonington.  This is a special day for the incoming cadets and their families.  The picturesque CG Lodge offers a great place to socialize and meet other families, helping relieve anxieties of “not knowing anyone” and the tension of their impending Reporting-In Day. With informative speakers, delicious food and cold drinks, this is a popular event which is well attended and most appreciated.

Firstie Gifts

Although the Capt. Paul Foye Chapter supports all cadets regardless of home state or country, it does recognize our Connecticut and area member cadets with a special graduation gift. These gifts are funded through our Chapter membership dues.

The Capt. Paul F. Foye Chapter Award

Each year a very generous gift certificate is donated to the USCGA Individual Proficiency Awards Ceremony. The Capt. Paul F. Foye Chapter Award is presented to the graduating Cadet who has “given the highest level of service to the Academy during four years of attendance.”
